I got to Freiburg early this morning after spending the night in the Basel train station due to delays making me miss the last train here. This also means I had to pay 37 Swiss Francs for the quick one hour train ride here rather than have it included in my rail pass day. I will update more later since I am currently paying by the hour for internet at the train station starbucks.

Hi Daniel and others,
There are a ton of different Swiss rail passes to choose from. Look at http://SwissRailPasses.com Take your time and read about each one before you make your purchase. Different passes give you different benefits. Bill
Hey Daniel, this is Scott again. I don’t know if you saw my first comment, but it looks like you fixed the map link.
I hope you’re having a great time. What are you most interested in seeing? If you like the mountains, I highly recommend Zermatt in Switzerland, which is directly south of Freiburg. It’s a town that doesn’t let any combustion engines in, which makes it really clean. It’s near the base of the Matterhorn.
Anyway, looking forward to seeing what you’re up to.
Hi Daniel
This is so cool to see what you are up to. The lady that I take care of has a daughter in Germany somewhere lol I got her number so you can call her with questions, she said that would be cool. She is an opera teacher and so is her husband…also he does research of some kind. She has a son Andy that is 22 i think. Alot of I thinks, huh????????????? Well the number is
Number Censored. Her name is Sandra Toner-Uhl. Her husband is German but speaks slow english. Remind her that you are my nephew and that I take care of her mother. I hope that you are safe and having fun. God Bless you. Aunt PattiBill, Thanks for the link. I bought a monthly Regio-Karte ticket here in Freiburg. My understanding is that this will allow me to travel as far as Basel. They don’t seem to check the tickets much on the BSB trains.
Hey Scott, I saw the last comment but have been slacking on response time. Sparse internet and a busy schedule have made it difficult. Thanks for the recommendation on Zermatt, I plan to go to Switzerland over a weekend sometime soon. Interlaken seems nice too. I have been recommended to do the canoeing tour there by a friend and some of the other outdoor activities.
Aunt Patti, Thanks for the contact. I will try to get a hold of them… but I’m not sure when I’ll have time. Hope you’re doing well in Cali.
Also, I copied down the email and edited it out of your comment so their number is not posted publicly on the internet.
