Last night I briefly went to a music festival called ZMF in Freiburg last night. There was a Cuban percussion band playing in a huge tent. I tried to sneak in to the tent and play the dumb American card when we were stopped. The music sounded absolutely amazing from the outside. A friend of Joel was also playing a free show. The bus ride back was really fun. The bus driver was entertaining the entire bus in the PA system and being quite the comedian (all in German). He started singing and beat boxing. Most entertaining bus ride ever. Sorry no photos to post since I wasn’t lugging my huge camera around.

A very odd, unique and interesting window poster from the city center of Pordenone, Italy

i went out and shot the audience at a screening of todays’ football game between germany and croatia at a local park today with my colleague dominic.

we published our shots in a slideshow: 94 photos of 94 minutes

This shot sums up the somber environment after last weeks Germany loss to Croatia. There were still people cheering for Deutschland, but it was much quieter than usual (with the exception of the Croatian fans trying to rub the win in others’ faces.)

This town goes crazy no matter who wins, but not quite to the same level as if its a German win.

Das 2. flickr.meeting Freiburg. Passt irgendwie zur Stadt Freiburg: klein und gemütlich.

Ach so, da ich Blende 8 vorgewählt habe, ist bei einer Belichtungszeit von 1/5 jede Person unscharf, die sich ein bißchen bewegt hat.

My new flickr friends in Freiburg. We met up today half way up the Schlossberg (the mountain near the city center. Since it was very rainy we relocated to the cafe Aspekt. I had a bowl of coffee and later a Radler. Radler = Beer + Lemonade.
