  • A new start-up venture founded to commercialize UCF's passive wireless SAW sensor technology.
  • Presented the business plan and core technology details to panels of prominent technology experts, investors and venture capitalists.
  • Competed as a finalist in the Megawatt Ventures annual clean technology business competition for $100k grand prize sponsored by the Department of Energy (http://megawattventures.com/). The team ranked 3rd of 70 overall and was awarded $10k in startup capital.
  • Selected to represent SenNova at the New Business Ventures workshop presented by Siemens Technology to Business (TTB) in Berkeley, CA. One of only 7 companies invited nationally.
  • Received formalized training in SBIR / STTR grant writing and at the Kaufman business workshop.
  • SBIR grant proposals submitted to Department of Energy (DOE) and Missile Defense Agency (MDA)

  • SAW device design and modeling using MathCAD and Matlab Coupling of Modes (COM) modeling.
  • Process development for Surface Acoustic Wave filters and sensors using monolithic photolithography fabrication techniques. First in department to achieve 0.6µm contact lithography line resolution.
  • Contact photolithography mask CAD layout and fabrication using the Interserv Pattern Generator.
  • Device parameter acquisition using Vector Network Analyzer and Cascade RF probing station.
  • Ultra-wideband RF communication system design, implementation and troubleshooting.

    This laboratory aimed to expose students to the many aspects of semiconductor processing in the clean room environment. Through my instruction, the students produced functional MOSFET and BJT devices from bare silicon wafers. Functional devices tested using DC probe stations and curve tracers.

    Introduced students to RF and microwave active circuits, matching networks, microstrip amplifier and oscillator design and fabrication. Familiarized students with spectrum and vector network analyzers.
